Our Spaces
We are very fortunate to enjoy extensive indoor and outdoor space at Boundstone, which gives us plenty of room for free-flow play during session times and allows each colour group to have it's own designated space for group time. We hope this page will give you some insight into our setting and the kinds of facilities and activites we are able to offer the children who attend Boundstone.
The Atrium
The Atrium is our newest space - a fabulous light and airy room that centres around our tree. You will bring your child into Nursery via the Atrium and from there you can find their colour group for registration. The Atrium is home to our creative area, home corner and reading corner and is also where Yellow Group spend their group times. It includes a window into our Daycare facility so the children have a sense of connection to the younger ones at the setting. This is particularly fun if they have siblings in Daycare! The Atrium features several large sets of double folding doors leading to the Wing.
The Wing
The Wing was a new addition in 2008, when we became a Children & Family Centre, having been here as a local nursery school since the 1960's.
The Wing houses our library, kitchen, toilets and rest areas, and is home to Blue and Red Groups.
Double doors at either end of The Wing lead to our gardens..
Rainbow Room
The Rainbow Room is a small room with doors into both The Atrium and The Wing. This room is the home of our Special Support Centre and is where our speech and language therapists, teachers and key carers do one-to-one and small group work with those children who have additional communication needs.

The Garden
We are incredibly lucky to have an extensive, secure outdoor space comprising both grass and tarmac areas, in which our children can explore the natural environment.
We have developed our garden to include a range of climbing and balancing apparatus, monkey bars and a tyre swing. We have a collection of bikes and scooters, age appropriate sports equipment, sand and water play areas, a mud kitchen and a firepit.
Our outdoor space also provides opportunities to be creative with storytelling, roleplay and music areas, as well as incorporating experiences which support mark-making and maths skills.
